Mind Fluff

Time to solve one of lifes problems

Theres a monkey dust sketch, i don't know if you've seen it, but in it literary genius lord byron is presented with one of lifes more difficult tasks
having to come up with an amusing message for a birthday card in this case the card is for queen elizibeth not known for her patience (if my memory of the docu drama blackadder II serves me correct)

Anyway the morning sun rises, the midday heat passes and finally the sun sets and poor old byron, a wordsmith if ever there was one can't think of what to put settling for something like "have a happy birthday you old bird you" whilst congratulating himself, sure not as funny most of monkey dust but it did remind me of how pathetic we all can be when it comes to writing stuff on peoples cards especially when theres the added pressure of coming up with something humourous

This is why two years ago after many many years of coming up with what i considered to be witty gems (and others found plain rude or offensive) i decided to take the sting out of all the thinking, if you want to be humourous write "i love you" under somebody elses name (preferebly someone they hate), then for your own message you can never go wrong with the swiss utility knife of messages

"ave a good un"

hasn't failed me yet *

*note: could backfire if someone gives birth to a mong.

I always liked the Philth Brassington approach of putting a wildly inappropriate message.. Like "Get Well Soon" in a Birthday card or "Many Happy Returns" in a leaving card.

I find that I don't sign anywhere near as many "Sorry you're leaving" cards since I left Sage. Funny that
